General Tips and Strategies
Get familiar with the maps: No matter what game you are playing it is always important to know the ins and outs of each map. With MW2 this is easy to accomplish because you can have free roam on each of the maps. If your looking to try this out simply click System Link and Create Game. From here you can select any map or game mode that you wish to explore. This is a great way to get familiar with all the areas.

Try all the guns: There is a wide variety of weapons to choose from and each have their own set of advantages and disadvantages. There is no 1 gun or setup to use for maximum ownage. Every player has a different style and so you must find your style of playing and choose your weapons and perks accordingly.

Different Setups for Gametypes: Depending on which Game Mode you are playing may determine just what custom setup you need to use. For game types such as Demolition you may want to bring Tactical Insertion, but for Team Deathmatch you may wish to swap that out for grenades instead. Also in Normal mode you may want to keep Stopping Power on your weapon yet swap it out when playing Hard Core mode.

Use your Mic: If you are playing a team based game then communicate with your teammates. If someone shoots you and you know where the enemy is, then call it out for your fellow players to try and take them out as quickly as possible. You do not want your team losing because you were too lazy to call out a target or just greedy with your own kills.

Priorities: I would hope that if you are a member of BattleStrats that you are always concerned with winning the game instead of personal gratification. Some gametypes and styles of play may dwindle your Kill to Death ratio, but increase your chance of winning. I encourage you to be a team player and feel good about winning the match, even if it means dying alot in the process for instance trying to capture a control point.
