Battlefield 3 will receive a Double XP Weekend this week. New unannounced DLC Map Packs and character customization's are on the way.

I want new faces for the characters more than anything else as far as customization goes. Even Battlefield Play4Free has that but a big game with a complex item system like BF3 lacks it - which is irritating because it's supposed to be atmospherically realistic.

As for the dlc it sounds exciting. Its getting really close so i suppose i break down and get some internet at my place finally.

Id have to think that the 2013 dlc will be based somewhat on the endgame dlc. Unless its an expansion pack... Maybe a ww2 theme is what i expect since its been awhile since they did one with upgraded graphics and systems. Vietnam saw its chance in bc2.

This is basically CoD: Elite nothing more.

Which is great because I was planning on picking up all the DLC for BF3 anyway so if it means I get a discount on the whole price of DLC plus early access to DLC and other nice customisation things thrown in, I'm all for it.

I want the Saving to be at least 33% though.

Just waiting for all the mindless haters now with no logial reason to hate on this to come swarming all over it. Actually if the haters actually boycott the pricing and they discount it even further then haters will actually be of use on the planet (:.

I pre-paid for the CQC DLC a couple of weeks ago (getting points on the card at Gamestop) and then tried to get that switched to BF Premium yesterday but they say it doesn't exist and is still a rumor at this point. I'm sure we'll get updates on BS front page when it happens but nobody in the corporate world will acknowledge it. Hope it's true because that would be much easier to pay once and have the DLC a bit early. And holy crap BMT, looks like you don't need a new knife...not standing in front of you on Red's server anytime soon.

oh did they say there is a new knife coming too?
