Just a quick question for those that have played more than me:
How many levels can you gain and how many perks can you select?
I just started a new character after making several bad choices with my last one and I want to plan things out better this time
A little extra: I'm starting out as a more traditional Mage but might like to shift to more of a Battlemage later on but in not sure if I'll be able to get all the perks required to really make it worthwhile.
Levels and perks

The maximum level you can attain is 81. So you would have access to 81 different perks. With all skills at 100, you should see the XP meter about halfway between 81 and 82. After that, it will not move.
So with 81 potential perks and the average skill tree having between 13 and 16, I think your character build would be easily attained. My buddies girlfriend created a Battlemage and it was done around level 30 or so. I think you'll be fine.

Sweet that's definetly more than I was expecting. To get everything I really wanted I think I figured I need 59 perks so I should have plenty left over.
Also I've just located the Atronach Forge and found the recipe to make deadric armor and weapons there. So unless I really really want that dragonplate armor later I may not put any points into smithing this go around. I just need to start hoarding black souls gems, deadra hearts, and ebony equipment.
Anyway, thanks man
