You probably all know by now that when you hear the buzzing of a MAV overhead, its time to start running cos the pilot is trying to run you down with the pesky thing. Now I know it does require a certain level of skill with the thing to get a kill with it, but I do wonder if in real life would this thing knocking into you at speed would kill you. I'm not sure if it is another exploit or not but I have heard lots of people ranting/rage quitting due to people spamming them on the battlefield. Maybe it souldn't count as an instant kill but instead remove health for the target. On the other hand I have heard lots of people praising the MAV roadkill tech. One person told me," It's totally fair, if you see an enemy MAV buzzing around, you simply pull out your own MAV and the pilot." I know this is only aplicable if the pilot is outside but he does have a point.

You could make it fairer by having the MAV piolot perminanly show on the mini map when using it, like the morter. That seems good to me.

How do you fair with this issue, all answers welcome.

(I don't know if this topic has been covered already on this forum, if it has I beg for your forgivness)

That would be the best thing DICE could do. It might make these MAV users actually contribute to capping flags and arming/disarming crates. Still, it is fun to find the pilots and shank them.

They should do what they did in BC2. When you spotted a UAV, you'd spot both the UAV and the person manning it. I was just playing a game a bit ago where I had three MAVs swarming over my head attempting to get a kill.

MAV= awesome
Higlighting the pilot= better
Roadkilling MAV= used by players who fail at life.

I love the MAV. I don't use it often but when I do I use it for spotting....and occasionally for pushing worthless snipers off of rooftops, highways, or cranes.....

The MAV user should be getting more points for spotting and motion sensor assists because it is REALLY useful to the team to have a mobile equipment finder and motion sensor.

I only try to run over the people who are standing still and easy targets, and if your squad is having trouble taking people down, the MAV is a PERFECT destraction, even better than suppression! The second you start trying to run people over, the MAV is the ONLY thing people pay attention to. It's priceless lol.

I haven't unlocked the MAV yet, but I think it makes sense to use it to spot and find the enemy equipment, especially where points are concerned. Though I also like the thought of pushing a sniper off a tall building...

I don't think it is fair when they are on the deployment and you can't go and kill them. I wouldn't mind if you could go on the deployment on kill them.

All ideas here sound fair, as a MAV user, I think my average life spam will get shortened, everything for balancing...

It isn't an exploit, though. There are dogtags for MAV kills.

are you sure about that? I actually just scrolled through all the dogtags on battlelog and i didn't see one. I could have easily missed it though.

Excuse me, my mistake. I've taken a MAV Master tag once and it reads MAV Kills: ###. However, this is apparently the number of spotted kill assists you've gotten, not roadkills. Still, the fact that a roadkill with the MAV reads correctly on the kill feed makes me think that DICE saw this in their own testing and chose to leave it in.

I was a victim of a hit and MAV yesterday. Operation Metro had nothing but MAV trolls getting stupid kills. Until I pulled out the USAS-12. It's getting old with the people using the MAV for kills.

I think the balance of MAV points vs not seeing the operator on the battlefield is good. Mortor operators show up cause they are killing people 100 points vs 10 points for a spot assist. If I have to deal with people coming to knife me cause i am lit up on map I better be getting more than 10 points! As for roadkilling it is quite hard to do (unless the ground is level) so I don't see much issue with it personally.

I just unlocked the MAV a little while ago, and have only tried to use it a few times. It's a little difficult at first to fly around, so no roadkills yet.

I think that you should get more points though for spotting, because the 10 or 30 you get is too little in my opinion. I mean you get 50 points for a "suppression assist" and you don't even need to hit the person to get that. In a lot of the cases, the MAV is more helpful than suppressing someone.

Case in Point: I decided to fly the MAV, and did a little eye in the sky for my buddy. I kinda floated above him, called out and spotted just about everyone around him. He was a one man wrecking ball and went like 20-2 I think for the round. It wasn't until just about the end of the round when someone got a little irked and pulled out the heat seekers to blast my MAV out of the sky. I ended up catching a kill at the end of the round and went 1-0. I ended up with a few hundred point and my buddy a few thousand. It wouldn't of been possibly without the MAV. I had a good time calling it out and watching him run around, but think it'd be nice if you were given more points for a "MAV Assist".
