Battlefield Moments n' Fails

I'll start off:
It was a bright and sunny morning on Operation Metro conquest, our Battlestrats laden team prepared to reap the souls of our enemies, when we found ourselves in a fix.... 100+ tickets down and only C flag. Then, all of the sudden, it all changed. Some crafty armadillo waddled his way into their A base, where our squad was then able to set up shop, allowing us to recapture B. We were pushed back to the B flag, leaving us up 2 flags to 1, where we made our stand, steadily reducing the ticket counter in our favor until finally their suck-siren wailed, and we were victorious.

Anyway, I just unlocked the Javelin and was playing Conquest on Kharg Island where there are plenty of tanks rolling around to test out my new toy. Sure enough a T-90 comes rolling down the road and I unlimber my olive drab tube of death, go prone for better cover, lock on, fire the missile and then commit suicide as the projectile impacts the ground right in front of me, vaporizing my virtual body. Note to self: DO NOT Fire The Javelin Missile While Prone.

Well I have a moment and a fail.
Yesterday on Davamand Peak, I was driving the armored beast known as the T-90A on a squad with Schism, Conal, and another friend of mine. We had quickly secured C and B and were now upon the enemy objective of A. I had parked my tank at the entrance of the tunnel near the dump truck and began blasting anyone and anything that moved; tanks, infantry, jeeps, you name it. Swapping between AP shells and canister shells, the enemies fell side by side, one after another. My gunner (Conal, I believe) and I kept them out of the main tunnel whilst our infantry took on the side routes. Needless to say, we both finished on top that round.
Fail-wise, it was on Tehran Highway. Big Bad Brint and I were taking a Sunday drive in our LAV-25 APC when I decided to swing around the enemy base. I boosted at the wrong time however, and lost control, getting our vehicle stuck on a cement block. Needless to say, I could not get it un-lodged from the slab. I ended up loosing the APC and a bit of dignity during this ordeal. Lesson learned.

I had a pretty cool win recently on Seine River. There was a big group (like eight to ten guys or so) of enemy Marines pressing to come about a corner that our handful of BRAVE AND VALIANT Ru players were desperately trying to hold onto, as passage through would leave the way open for two of our flags behind us to get capped. After a brief stalemate with some blind grenades from both sides and a couple deaths and respawns from each team, the Marines grouped up and all made a massive push together at once.
I was off by the left wall with my good old RPK-74 set up on an abdomen-high piece of scenery (like a trash bin or something). As they came around the corner, we all opened fire, but we were greatly outnumbered. They had a couple soldiers equipped with defibs in their group, more than we had at any rate, and with so many players to shoot at, it was just feasible enough for them to revive right in the middle of the firefight. I spent my 49-round clip and hit the dirt to reload, and saw that our assault was doing his best to keep us alive, too, but it was too much. I crawled on my belly to poke my RPK around the side of my cover, not even bothering to set up the bipod before I opened fire.
Either our assault did a fantastic revive job, or some fresh reinforcements appeared behind us, but somehow by the immaculate grace of the heavens, the entirety of the enemy fire was directed behind me as my RPK dropped foe after foe. I was able to empty yet two more magazines into the enemy before the firing ceased, crawling back behind cover each time to reload. I stood up, looked around, and realized I was the only one left. I checked the scoreboard - I had scored somewhere around twelve kills in that 20 second window and shot to the top spot. O_o
I firmly believe that if I had not been forced to duck behind cover and reload my gun, the enemy would have singled me out after the first 50 shots. RPK<3
