You can test your QoS on certain websites, but not like speedtest.net because that is just a "Burst" test. I found a nice free test a while ago via Google but I don't remember the site but I scored like a "C" and I know my "ping" to the west coast(from PA) is around 90-100ms, that is not that great for gaming...

I've had previous issues with Comcast. Especially, with the connection randomly going out for periods of time. Some lasting seconds, some lasting hours.I've had Comcast for years and it just keeps getting faster. I've never has an issue with any online title so far.

Yeah, ISP quality varies by physical location, not provider. Comcast lines may be great in one city, and completely blow in another. You really do just have to do homework locally. Tis forum probably cant help you much. I recently switched from Comcast to Qwest DSL. Qwest is offering no phone line contracts now, so it is cheaper than cable. That is why I never used DSL before, cause I do not want to pay for a land line I wouldn't use. Now it is not required. Worth looking into as an option.
