Today guys, i have learned how to use the Gunslinger and its mini sentry on as a huge offensive to get my mini sentry 12 kills and 4 assists.

Before today i always thought that it was a useless item that was only meant for arena and wow was i wrong for example:

Today on badlands my team (blu) was rolling red team and we had pushed them back into their final base, with the heavy resistance of 3 heavies 2 medics and a buttload of red engies my team couldn't get into the control room, so i set a tele right inside the enemy base right by the stairs in the entrance, as soon as i had a small foothold i ran into the main floor and stated throwing down a mini sentry, and everytime it was destroyed threw down another keep pressure with the mini sentry until reinforcments had made it into the base and we essentially won with my evil gunslinger

Hmm, I also think it's a useless item, I'll have to try later on. It wasn't useless before the patched the glitch. I had a mini level 3 sentry lol. To do it, you have to build a level 3 sentry, change to the gunslinger, and move the level 3 sentry, then it goes into am mini level 3. It was so much fun to.

Never ever use the mini-sentry on defense. In all other situations, it kicks ass, especially if you combine fire with your shotgun and pistol (never use the wrangler with the mini-sentry).

I'm appalled you guys actually thought the thing was... useless! You do realize that it starts with full health the second you put it down, right? It's not like the normal sentry that can be killed in one shot when it's building. Just spam the little buggers offensively with your team and there will be hardly a thing their team can do about it. For example, on Badwater, set up a teleporter for your team, then as your team makes a push, destroy your mini-sentry and put up a new one some place where it can target a lot of enemies (such as the big ledge), and shoot anybody who comes near (the sentry will usually automatically target them as they approach as they target the closest enemies, so you'll know they're coming. The second it gets destroyed, just pop down another one. You won't believe how many kills and assists you get off your dinky little half-damage level 1. If you can deal with the tiny clip size on the FJ, you can rack up a TON of revenge crits by putting a mini-sentry some place where it will attack from a direction the enemy isn't looking because they're fighting the rest of your team. Personally, the shotgun is my favorite weapon in the game and -3 shots is far too big of a downside for me to ever use the FJ.

I use th FJ with my mini sentry, i'll honestly use it for quick defence when im seeting up a small base for my team to use but the majority of my time is on the front lines with the heavys throwing that lil bugger down and hiding in cover until i have at least 10+ revenge crits stacked up

Or you can put 2 level 3s across from each other...

Which would take ALOT more time than just popping down a mini-sentry. If the enemies start rushing in, you want that distract-o-sentry right up, right away. And it's stupid to put two level 3's within eachother's vicinity, you should always put it in a more useful place to cover more than a single route.
