PS3 Move - Pricing and Bundle Options Announced
The armageddon is officially upon us. No longer is it acceptable to play your video games while seated with a simple controller. This trend began with the Nintendo Wii's motion controller. Next up was Microsoft's Kinect and now finally Playstation's Move. I would recommend not trying to fight this motion controller revolution. Embrace it, love it, live it.
With that being said we can finally get down to one of the most important details regarding the Move controller, the price. The official Playstation.Blog has released some pricing and bundle details that we wanted to share with you all. The bundles offered are varied and have been broken down depending on which hardware you currently own.
PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle (for someone who does not yet own a PS3)
The PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle retails at $399.99 and comes with a PS3 system, 1 Playstation Move motion controller, a Playstation Eye camera, The Sports Champion Blu-ray disc game and a Playstation Move demo disc.
PlayStation Move Bundle (for someone who has a PS3 and nothing else)
The PlayStation Move Bundle retails at $99.99 and comes with 1 PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, the Sports Champions Blu-ray disc game and a PlayStation Move demo disc.
Playstation Move Motion Controller (for someone who owns a Play Station Eye camera)
The Playstation Move controller retails for $49.99
PlayStation Move Navigational controller
The PlayStation Move Navigation Controller retails for $29.99 and is an optional add-on that brings directional buttons, an analog stick, and two face buttons into the PlayStation Move’s control scheme. The sleek Navigation Controller essentially replicates the left side of the DualShock 3 controller for familiar and natural control. It is not required for any of the PlayStation Move games. The DualShock 3 controller that came with your PS3 will let you do everything the Navigation Controller does in all PlayStation Move titles.
Playstation Move Charging Station
This charging station retails for $29.99 and allows you to charge two PlayStation Move motion or navigation controllers at once, without connecting them to the PS3.
PlayStation Move “Shooting Attachment”
This accesory retails for $19.99. The Shooting Attachment takes arcade shooting games to a whole new level. The Shooting Attachment snaps directly onto a motion controller and allows gamers to hold the motion controller like a gun, creating a more precise and immersive experience.
Well you better start mowing lawns, performing open heart surgeries or doing whatever it is that pays the bills because this jump into the wonderful world of motion controllers on September 19th sure isn't cheap. Whatever you do, don't miss out on the Great Motion Control War of 2010. Between Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony I think it is safe to say at least one of them has hit a homerun when it comes to motion controllers. The only question is......did you pick the winner?
